Question by nobyus8: Teach a Life Lesson – How would you do it?
Ok-We just moved & I am the “new” mother in charge of planning the 3rd grade classroom parties at my daughter’s school. Last year they were allowed to have “halloween”, “christmas”, & “valentines” parties. Now they are changed to fall, winter & spring. In the process of meeting w/ other moms & calling to ask for donations for the party….75% or so had something negative to say about the change & how unfair it was to the kids not to have a “christmas” party & how a few shouldn’t ruin it for the rest. some even said that “those” kids could sit in the office if they didn’t want to participate….Heres the kicker….I’m Jewish!!!! LOL … I didn’t say a word !!!
we live in a larger progressive city, although majority Christian, all major religions are represented so i certainly didn’t expect this. I would like to teach a “life lesson” to these women…question of the day…How Would You Do It????

Ive been a teacher to young kids as well…
and Im not jewish hon but I can relate to your experience.
why dont u prepare a short skit about the child that wanted to celebrate Hannukah for example…
repeat the same exact scene u came across with those women in your skit…as background voices ..with a child sitting lonely in the middle of a spotlight flood…and then the child makes a wish…and a miracle happens…his wish omes true and he celebrates his desired event.
what do u think?
